Like the Australian political system the United States has a two party system. Based on US politics since 2016 it is clear the system is broken. Is it just me or are Trump supporters thick?
Of course there are independents & smaller parties but the two major players are the Democrats & Republicans. None of the smaller parties will be able to form a majority in either house. It is also important to note, Republicans are the equivalent to Australia’s Liberal Party / Conservatives while the Left wing are the Democrats (Greens / Labor). I refer to the extreme right as conservatives.
Another interesting side note is that the United States is not a democracy, they are a republic. Unlike real democracies the people do not elect their President, the Electoral College does. A system open to fraud & designed to take power away from the people. Traditionally the Electoral College have elected Presidents based roughly on the votes of the people, but they have gotten wrong, hence “Donald J Trump“. The reason for an electoral college is simple; the founding fathers could not trust the mostly uneducated people to elect their president. So, that power was given to a group of well educated folks.
If you spoke with a few hundred people, Australia or USA, you’d find there will be a percentage of them whom will always vote the same way, regardless of policies. They are the rusted-on voters. Remember when Trump proudly claimed “I could shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any votes!” His assertion would be accurate and truth be told he might gain a few gun-retards who were previously on the fence.
Similarly in Australia we have rusted on voters who vote a particular way and never deviate regardless of who is in charge.
Donald Trump is the laughing stock of the world, and by association the USA is also. Despite what some world leaders might “diplomatically” say about him, in private they must believe he is an idiot & dangerous and I would totally agree with that assessment. Having said that, I’d also say his die-hard supporters are even more dangerous.
Trump voters & supporters are clearly being mislead in their little echo chambers, particularly if they absorb the rubbish Sean Hannity spouts or QAnon. Sometimes I can forgive the minority of under educated voting public for their stupidity, but I cannot get past Republican Politicians support for a man whose IQ barely registers. Despite the lies he tells and his attitude towards anyone critical of him, these normally intelligent people just suck-up & kiss his saggy senior citizen ass. When one publicly embraces lies for the sake of party politics and winning votes their credibility is lost forever. It’s not about America for them it’s about power & money.
Senator Lindsay Graham, perfect example of a douche-bag suck up, seems to idolize Trump and I can’t figure out why. Matt Gaetz & Jim Jordan are also examples of humanities worst people. Can you imagine the outrage from these folks had Democratic Presidents acted as Trump did.
I understand why people felt they needed a change and someone outside the usual political comfort zone. Much of that belief in Trump is based on an incorrect assumption he is successful. Truth is 95% of products, businesses & services with the Trump name have nothing at all to do with Trump, it’s simply licensing his name. His real estate business is all that keeps him above water. Almost every other business venture Trump actually owns or was truly involved in has failed. He has been bankrupt more than twice as many times as he has been married.
Many businesses which have dealt with Trump have been sent into bankruptcy by him. Remember when his casino was failing and he transferred his personal debt to the business prior to its collapse, to save his own ass, knowing it would financially destroy all other investors. Yes, he did that! Is that the kind of honorable, moral, hard working and decent kind of guy you want on your side or running a country? No, he is scum & scum will always rise to the surface.
In my mind each Republican claiming Trump did no wrong is lying to the American people and are setting a dangerous precedent. At some point a Democratic President will be elected and each of those people blindly supporting President Turnip have given up their right to complain when the system is abused & lies are told. At the end of the day Government is for the people, not the personal enrichment of politicians.
What really makes me sick is he wont release his tax returns. Remember he promised many time he would release, and then he placed a caveat on their release – “I’ll release my tax returns if I win!” Well, he won and is now fighting in court to keep them hidden. That tells you all you need to know – he is a crook with something to hide and cannot be trusted to lead America. The entire country in a few years will be nothing more than a large third world country with a financial disaster looming. And somewhere along the line Trumps stupidity will be to blame.
Trumps Economic Time Bomb
The personal tax cuts Trump put in place expire in 10 years which will create a problem. Particularly after the Covid episode. Remember Trump thought it was democratic hoax and the idiot ignored it for too long. When you give everyone a tax cut you are taking money out of the yearly government budget. The accumulative affect will be substantial over the 10 year tax lifespan and it will need to be dealt with.
The time bomb Trump has planted is really quite simple; he expected a second term, which gives him 8 years in the White House. After his 8 years it would be very likely a Democratic President would be voted in and therefore would be in power as the country started to financially collapse. Republicans would point the finger and claim “it’s the democrats fault” knowing full-well it was there plan all along. Now we all know Trump isn’t smart enough to have planned this but someone in the Republican Party did.
Did you also notice that special exemptions for taxes and other stuff was given to Golf Course Owners? Hmm, how many Golf Courses does Donald own? In my book that alone is personal gain!
Moving right along
You will recall how many times Trump said the US Economy is the best it’s ever been. Unemployment figures down, stock market up etc. The truth is all of the economic indicators have been increasing at the same rate for many years. Obama put in place mechanisms to boost the economy after the 2008 credit crisis. It is fair to blame Republicans for that crisis because it was they whom removed safeguards & regulations which allowed Wall Street to screw up the world. So, indicators suggested an improving economy long before Trump arrived on the scene, in fact, those same figures have slowed down under Trump. Of course facts are irrelevant to Trump and so many others.
There is something very wrong, mentally, with someone who blindly supports and makes excuses for someone whom has a track record of wrong doing. I defy you, or anyone else, to show me how Trump or his nutcase supporters, can be seen as fine upstanding citizens.
2024 – Are Trump Supporters Thick
I don’t believe Trump will run for President in 2024. All his rallies and fund raising, since he was kicked out of office in a legitimate election, has been to line his own pockets and those of his family. If you cannot see he is crook, there is something wrong with you.
